Our Mardi Gras Mask project during our weekly Open Studio was such a huge hit that we’re starting our next project immediately. Requiem 4 reality, a project of f-stop visual arts center, opens its doors every Thursday from noon to 8:00 p.m. at 757 Center St NE.
During the past three weeks, artists created 25 masks for Mardi Gras. Half were sold during the Mardi Gras celebration on February 16 with the remainder being offered during the Creative Pub Crawl.
We will decide our theme for April’s multi-venue exhibition on Thursday, February 18. While the most popular themes of Making Faces and Rain are jockeying for the finals, there’s still time for your ideas heard. Once we choose the theme, artists will be creating pieces for exhibition and sale in Cafe Noir, Brown’s Towne Lounge, The Space and Cascade Baking Company during the 4th Cherry City Music Festival.
